How to choose the size of the hook

As you know, the choice of hook must be made based on the size of the thread to be worked and there is no certain rule. A personal choice component is also added which depends on the hand you want to give to the garment to be made.

With the same yarn, if the choice of hook moves towards larger dimensions, then you will get a wider and softer work. If, on the other hand, you opt for a smaller size, then you will get a tighter and stiffer job.

As known, for fine or medium yarn it is possible to use steel crochet hooks, while for larger dimensions it is possible to use aluminum or plastic and wood.
